UKROSETTES
is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.
The key points of its strategy to achieve this are:
Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
Minimise toxic emissions through the selection and use of its fleet and the source of its power
requirement.
Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.
Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and
distribution.
Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.
Use an accredited program to offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities.
Ribbon that's generated goes to be used in schools,so the children use for Art.
Bridal Clips
How Bridle Clips are plated and why it’s important to know
Briefly, the principle behind electroplating is the deposition of a metal layer on a base metal,
using direct current through a solution.
Many metal finishing substances, wastes, and releases, are potentially hazardous to human health and
the environment unless exceptionally carefully handled. There are many concerns over environmental
health and safety, waste treatment costs, and pollution.
Why we no longer supply Brassed Bridle Clips
The electroplating process used in the brass of Bridle Clips uses Cyanide salts which are particularly
hazardous, and the process generates toxic or hazardous pollutants that can result in direct exposure to
employees or to air, land and water.
Cyanide, is a very fast-acting poison that prevents oxygen use by cells. Dissolution of cyanide into
complex forms is also highly toxic to aquatic life.
Why we think Galvanised Bridle Clips are better,
Galvanising is one of the easier metal finishing processes. It gives good corrosion protection, and no
exotic chemicals are needed.
What does this mean for me?
Choosing a Galvanised Bridle Clip as opposed to a Brassed Bridle Clip is the better environmental choice.
It also reduces the cost of the product with the reduced complexity of the environmental handling of
the product comes a significant reduction in its production cost.
On average the cost of the Brassed
product will be in the regions of double he cost of a Galvanised product.
IS IT REALLY THAT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO CHOOSE A ‘GOLD COLOURED’ AS OPPOSED TO A ‘SILVER
COLOURED’ PRODUCT?
